Sekaten is a week-long festival held annually to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (Mawlid). Centered at the Alun-Alun Utara of the Kasunanan Palace, it features a vibrant night market with food, rides, and local goods. The main ritual involves playing the sacred Gamelan Kyai Guntur Madu and Kyai Guntur Sari at the Grand Mosque's courtyard, attracting large crowds seeking blessings.

Grebeg Sudiro

2. Grebeg Sudiro

Grebeg Sudiro is a unique cultural event held annually in the Sudiroprajan area of Solo to celebrate Chinese New Year. It showcases a beautiful blend of Javanese and Chinese cultures.
