UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta held the Deliberation Meeting on Admission Results for the 2025 International Independent Admission Program (Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru Jalur Mandiri Luar Negeri) to finalize the selection results for incoming international students. The session was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Institutional Development, Dr. Zainul Abas, S.Ag., M.Ag., who emphasized that the entire selection process—from document screening to the Academic Potential Test (TPA) and interview stage—had been conducted optimally and responsibly. For the 2025/2026 academic year, he confirmed that the quota for the Rector’s Scholarship is set at 16 awardees.
Additionally, the Vice Rector for General Administration, Planning, and Finance, Dr. Raden Lukman Fauroni, S.Ag., M.Ag., noted the remarkable enthusiasm shown by international applicants this year. He encouraged the university to broaden its opportunities by opening additional scholarship pathways in the future, such as partial scholarships, zero-tuition (0 UKT) schemes, and self-funded (mandiri) options.

The discussion session was led by the Head of the Center for International Relations (PHI), Wildi Adila, M.A., who presented a comprehensive report on the selection process. His briefing included the total number of applicants—1,524 international registrants—as well as the outcomes of the TPA and interview evaluations. Wildi also presented the top six candidates with the highest scores in each faculty. Subsequently, deans and faculty representatives engaged in a focused deliberation to select three candidates per faculty who would be awarded the Rector’s Scholarship.
Beyond determining the scholarship recipients, the meeting also examined the technical mechanisms of the newly proposed scholarship schemes recommended by the Vice Rector II. In addition, Zaenal Muttaqin, M.A., Ph.D., Vice Dean II of Ushuluddin and Da'wah Faculty, introduced an additional concept: a foster parent program, allowing international students to live with lecturers or staff members of UIN Surakarta. This initiative aims to enhance cultural integration, strengthen student support systems, and promote the university’s internationalization agenda. (Wil/PHI).
