UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta organized another Islamic Enrichment Program for International Students on Tuesday (10/03/2026), held at the 3rd Floor Auditorium of the Rectorate Building. The event, which began at 4:00 PM (WIB), featured Dr. Sidik, S.Ag., M.Ag., Vice Dean for Academic and Institutional Affairs of the Faculty of Sharia, as the main speaker. A total of 38 international students from nine countries enthusiastically participated in the program. The event was opened with the recitation of Juz 30 of the Qur’an led by Musa Adamu, a student from Nigeria who is also a hafidz. A solemn atmosphere was felt from the beginning, especially as the program was held during the holy month of Ramadan.

Dr. Sidik delivered a lecture entitled “Knowledge, Islam, and Indonesia.” In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of seeking knowledge in Islam, highlighting that Islamic intellectual tradition encourages lifelong learning with sincere intentions for the benefit of society and as a form of devotion to Allah. He also stressed that knowledge should not only serve academic purposes but must be accompanied by good manners and ethics, ensuring that it brings meaningful contributions to the wider community.

In his remarks, Dr. Sidik noted that this program is part of both academic and spiritual development for international students at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. “This is the second session for international students, and it is very timely as it takes place during the holy month of Ramadan,” he stated. The program continued with an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session between the students and the speaker. The event concluded with a communal iftar, creating a warm moment of togetherness and strengthening the bond among international students and the university community.
