UIN SURAKARTA – The Center for International Relations (PHI) Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Raden Mas Said Surakarta organized the Islamic Enrichment Program for International Students on Wednesday (11/02/2026). The program aimed to enhance the Islamic knowledge and religious practices of international students representing nine countries.

Currently, UIN Surakarta hosts 38 international students. The Head of the Center for International Relations, Wildi Adila, stated, “We currently have 38 international students from nine countries. However, due to their diverse cultural backgrounds, there are slight differences in their religious practices. Therefore, this program serves as a platform to collectively broaden Islamic knowledge and strengthen faith, especially as we are approaching the holy month of Ramadan.”

The program was officially opened by Hj. Fauziyah Dlimasari, S.Ag., M.H., Head of the General and Academic Division, who also conveyed the distribution of assistance from the Zakat Management Unit (UPZ) of UIN Surakarta to the international students. The main session was delivered by Fuad Muhammad Zein, S.Fil.I., M.Ud., a lecturer from the Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy Study Program, with the topic “Islamic Worldview as a Main Basic Value of Civilization.” In his presentation, he highlighted that the Islamic worldview serves as a fundamental framework shaping civilization, including ethics, knowledge, and social order. He further emphasized that understanding this worldview is essential for Muslims to respond to global challenges while remaining grounded in Islamic principles.

The event continued with an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session between the speaker and participants. This program is planned to be conducted regularly on a monthly basis, featuring speakers from various study programs at UIN Surakarta. Through this initiative, the university aims to strengthen spiritual development, broaden Islamic insights, and foster a sense of solidarity among international students.
