Active in International Organizations, UIN Surakarta Student Receives Appreciation from the Philippine Embassy

The international engagement of students at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta continues to gain recognition. Johane Lintange Atillo, an international student from the Philippines studying at UIN Surakarta, recently received an appreciation award from the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta during the Filipino Student Community in Indonesia (FSCI) Officer Turnover, Inauguration, and Leadership Training event.

The award was presented directly by Mr. Alvin Devaras, Second Secretary of the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta, on Friday, May 15, 2026. The event, organized by FSCI and facilitated by the Philippine Embassy in Indonesia, was attended by Filipino students from various universities in Indonesia, including UIN Banten, Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII), Sampoerna University, and UIN Cirebon.

In addition to being actively involved in the Filipino student community in Indonesia, Johane has also participated in several international academic activities at UIN Surakarta. She served as the Master of Ceremony for the International Conference on Islamic Studies and Educational Research 2025 and the 3rd International Conference on Islamic Education and Instruction 2025. Furthermore, she is scheduled to participate in the Festival Handai organized by the Language Development and Fostering Agency of Indonesia.

This achievement reflects not only Johane’s dedication and active contribution but also the continuous support provided by the university leadership in encouraging students to engage in productive and impactful activities at both national and international levels.
